except for the fact that they kept me waiting an hour at the front desk while 3 staff battled for a machine and "photocopies", the room was very well kept and the stay "transit" was enjoyable.

We got a great Deal
I was traveling with my wife and decided to extend my stay for 2 days. We moved out of another expensive hotel where we stayed for 3 nights (company was paying for it ! ! ! ) and chose this hotel. We found it very nice, clean and affordable in a happening area of Dubai. I'd have felt better if they had served us water bottles and tea / coffee everyday of your stay (it was given complimentary only on the 1st day). Otherwise, it was a great stay there.

Dont stay here
WE CHECKED IN AND CHECKED OUT AFTER 30 MINUTES. THIS HOTEL IS NOT 4 * IN FACT IT WOULD BE PUSHING IT TO SAY IT IS 2 * IT WAS AN AWFUL EXPERIENCE, THE ROOMS ARE FILTHY. THE LINEN IS GREY(NOT WHITE). THE BATHROOMS ARE AWFUL. THE HOTEL SMELLS OF CIGGARETTES. IT WAS A DREADFUL EXPERIENCE WHICH WE WOULD NEVER EVER RECCOMENT EVEN MY WORST ENEMY TO. AND AS WE WERE ABOUT TO LEAVE WE WERE LUCKY ENOUGH TO BUMP IN TO SOME PROSTITUTES. SO BASICALLY NO WE AS A FAMILY WOULD NEVER RECCOMEND THIS HOTEL.

good hotel but was very difficult to find. was first offered freebies in the room and then was charged for the pack of nuts and drinks. but overall it was good.

The manager should go on a client service training
Before we went, we spoke to Mr Nadeem at the hotel twice to request for a double bed (we had booked a double room) and not twin beds as we have a child. Mr Nadeem assured it will be done. I reached at 11 pm and Mr Ali the manager says, no double rooms available but he has arranged an upgraded room at a nearby property and I should see it. On seeing the nearby property saw the room was much smaller and the upgrade was a hogwash. Mr Ali said he apologized personally but business wise he had to give my room away to another person and they couldn't call me as they did not have my numbers ( was given at time of booking). Avoid the hotel if you need peace of mind. Didn't bargain for this at11.30 pm in the night with a kid.

Horrible Experience
I arrived at the hotel for check-in. The hotel reception staff was not that friendly to begin with. Also the lobby and interior design of the hotel does not reflect at all the quality of a 4 star hotel. I checked in to the room and there was no hot water for an entire 2hrs after a pipe burst in the hotel due to bad maintenance. Also the bathroom floor was filled with hair as I first enterred the room. Overall this hotel does not deserve any stars.

Worst dubai experience. Unprofessionalism
The staff was extremely unprofessional. I had originally booked a room for just me. Then a couple of my friends joined. So we asked for an extra bed. They sent their room service telling me no room for extra bed while we could have played football in the room without problem. So they tried to intimidate me by sending the security telling me you have to rent another room for triple the price I paid originally. I asked for the hotel manager and stood up to them so suddenly there was enough room to put the bed.

Disappointed.
Stayed one night in April 2012. I flew in from Seattle where I had just spent several nights at two different 4-star rated hotels. The Coral Oriental was nothing like these hotels. The customer service was insufficient and unprofessional at the reception desk. My bathroom wasnt properly cleaned. WIFI was very expensive and when asked if they could change $ 50 into local currency they didnt have enough cash, even though they had a big sign advertising currency exchange. The Area: The area is around 20min drive from the airport. Unfortunately my room was facing a mosque on the other side of the street. Quite annoying to be waken up by 4:30 in the morning by their blasting speakers. Asking the reception about where to go eat (asked for a decent restaurants) they directed me to an area that only had very local street restaurants. There are no decent western style restaurants in the area as far as I could see - I walked around quite a lot searching for them and ended up taking a taxi to another area. Only positive experience was the included breakfast, it was very good. I went to the reception and asked them if this really could be a 4-star rated hotel. The guy goes "Yeah, but as this is a family hotel it might be different to other 4-star hotels you have tried.."
