"Got a friendly welcome and shown to room. The price paid was very low in comparison to every other property nearby, so I was not expecting the Ritz… but actually the room was very clean, neat and spacious. All the essentials were there, the bed was comfy and i slept very well. All in all very good value for money and everything seems well enough sorted. "

"Great little pub/inn off the A12, room was lovely, bathroom needs a bit of an update but functional and clean. Homemade biscuits 😋 a delight. I had a superior room and loved having a espresso machine for my morning brew. Food in general was fab from my burger 6oz (think chef forgot the scales, it was massive) to my mexican chicken & Avocado on 2nd night, portions great size, service i couldn't fault, all team, smiley, happy peeps."

"Super convenient with self check in which is great when arriving late. Radiator was on full so room was super hot but it cooled quickly with the window open and radiator off. Unfortunately this let a lot of marijuana smoke into the room from somewhere. Shower was surprisingly good Reasonably convenient for the train station. "

"Great hospitality from the staff. Breakfast was good but a little overpriced for a basic continental spread. I would have expected the continental breakfast to be included with the room rate. "It was perfect for the lone female business self employed traveller and had everything I needed , fridge, microwave. These were a godsend. Only thing I would change is the height of the basin and mirror in the bathroom . I’m a average height female at 5’ 4” and the basin and mirror are set at a 6’2” male I’m sure lol apart from that all good would definitely stay again :) "

"We received a very warm welcome and everything was just perfect. The room was spacious and a super king bed was very comfortable. There were tea and coffee making facilities in our room and even a small fridge if needed. A fan was in the room in case it was very hot. We had a good meal in a local pub recommended by David and it didn’t disappoint. The breakfast was delicious, just about anything you could wish for in a very nice dining room, we will certainly return next time we are in the area "
