"My husband & I and two other couples stayed at Penelope Home for 5 nights. The home is located about halfway between the 2 airports on Crete. (About an hour each direction) We liked the central location and enjoyed hikes, caves, the beach and other activities. The suggestions for restaurants and bakeries by our host were spot on. "I cannot impress upon people how idillic this villa is. It is set near a very small village with peaceful, beautiful surroundings. The villa itself has all the amenities one would require, and the inside is is fabulous condition. There was a maid service twice a week and she did a marvelous job keeping the 5 star villa clean and today. Highly recommend this place for anyone planning a holiday to Crete. "

"We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Villa Gaia. The villa was clean and spacious with fantastic outside space. It was in a quiet, rural location however was still convenient for local restaurants, supermarkets and the beach and there were many things to do within an hour’s drive (including the airport). Zacharias was a generous and kind host. He insisted on meeting us at the villa despite us not arriving until after midnight. I would highly recommend a stay here."
