Perfect Location, great amenities
Rivers Edge has so much to offer. Smith River runs along the back of the property. The house has ample room, natural light and everything you’ll need; and a separate suite with two beds, washer, dryer, fridge and its own little bathroom. Outdoor seating with a river view and a fire pit is an extra bonus. The property owners are great and very responsive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the property.

Super Chill place on the Smith River

Memories!
Our stay at Rivers Edge was wonderful. Close to the beaches, which my kids loved the most! Also, close to many beautiful hikes in the redwoods. Plenty of room for everyone. Beautiful view eating breakfast outside looking at the beautiful river. Lots of memories made. Thanks Erin and William!!

Wonderful river home
We had an excellent 2 night stay at the river home. The owners have done special touches of beach towels and elegant linens as well as plenty of games for use on the property and in the house. We had a beautiful view of the river and a quiet stay. We definitely recommend this house for families and couples.

Great family home!
Great house! Our family loved the badminton and variety of games to play after dinner. Comfortable beds, 2 living rooms, and beautiful outdoor space with great views of the river and mountains. Short drive to Crescent City for shopping. Will definitely be back!

Wonderful home on the river
This home was perfect for our family! We came from all over for a family wedding. 7 adults and one child fit comfortably. The owners were very responsive! Highly recommend if you need a larger home for a family vacation!

Location and view
This was our second time staying at the River House, what a view and great location. You could be at the Stout Grove in minutes, hang outside at the Rivers edge or even sit on the nice patio and enjoy the gas fire pit. We enjoyed our 2nd stay and couldn't even use all the space the house had.

Cozy home on the Smith River
This was a lovely property with plenty of room for all of us, every comfort you could wish for, and every amenity you need; right down to ziploc bags and shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel. There are games, a fire table and big windows gaze at the beautiful, clear Smith River. We hope to stay again.

Ideal location
Can’t beat the location! Loved the room with the two queen beds. The beds were very comfortable and it felt updated. It also had a tv and mini fridge. The owners went out of their way to provide everything we needed. The only thing I didn’t realize from the post is that the outdoor fire pit described isn’t for fire wood. Would stay again!

Perfect place for a family vacation
Perfect location with all the amenities for a Northern California vacation. Home was very comfortable and well maintained. Plenty of room for the kids to play outside. Location was absolutely beautiful and right next to the awesome Smith River, yet less then 20 minutes from town and even less to the Pacific Ocean. The hosts were very communicative and offered to help if there as ever a need. We loved our stay and would definitely recommend this to anyone.

Beautiful property!!
We had a wonderful time. The location on the Smith River is awesome, our kids went down and explored and swam all afternoon. The house is a little dated but very clean with updated furnishings and it is very well stocked (the pictures are acurate). Erin and Bill seem to have thought of everything. We grilled, cooked s'mores on the fire pit and played badminton. We highly recommend staying here!

Great location for visiting Jedediah Smith state park
The property was clean and central areas were quite roomy for our three couples. We enjoyed sitting out on the patio/yard watching the river. The kitchen was well-equipped and we cooked dinner both nights. The second and third bathrooms are quite small and in retrospect we may have been better off to have used only the three bedrooms in the house with two couples sharing the large hall bathroom.

House was fabulous!
The house set up was better than anticipated. The owners were communicative and the home well stocked and comfortable. We enjoyed the river. The access to the river was as easy as the owners could make it but was rough terrain at the waters edge. Loved that with a group of 10 there was enough to keep everyone entertained.
