"Wonderful property. It is dated but I love the old luxury feel so it doesn’t bother me any. Nice and quiet, great amenities, has 2 pools and a gym facility that has a hot tub and sauna. The rooms were gigantic! Which was a plus for my party of 3. Had a nice balcony to sit and listen to the bride early morning. The restaurant was ok. Seems to be the norm that New Zealanders are afraid of flavor and I have yet to have a great piece of chicken anywhere that doesn’t have the consistency of rubber....

"We stayed at Lake Taupo Motor inn for 2 nights as a family of 4. We got lucky with the end room which had big windows and a nice view. The beds were comfortable, and the rooms nice and dark with curtains drawn. It was a nice quiet location although still super close and handy to shops, cafes and restaurants. The pool was too cold for my 4 year old however there was also a spa to warm up in. Great stay"
