"Great location restaurant, lounge and bar overlooking the lake. Room lovely very comfortable bed & pillows. Thought the surcharge on certain breakfast items a bit unnecessary when paying £200 per night. Drinks expensive in the bar but that’s normal these days !"

We didn't visit any of the local sights due to a bad back, We spent much of our time in Cockermouth and Lorton. Cockermouth is a lovely small town with lots of great shops and places to eat

Travel light because no help with luggage to the room. Slightly confusing arrangement of the new wings where at the common entrance no room numbers were displayed. If you are vegetarian, food is limited.Pricey, £30 golf voucher not any help to us
