Great layout, poor maintenance
First the positives. With a multitude of beds and plenty of indoor and outdoor living space, this house comfortably accommodated our group of eight golfers. Also, the property management company was very responsive (see negatives) when assistance was needed. Now the downside. The mechanical systems were in disrepair, and the house lacked even the basic amenities you typically find in a rental unit. The first thing I noticed was that there was not a single roll of paper towels or napkins and that, other than the rolls in place, no extra toilet paper. Also no aluminum foil ot pots large enough to boil pasta. Fair enough; not a big deal. We went to the store and provisioned.
Upon loading the dishwasher for the first time, I couldn’t help but notice one of the rollers was missing, making pulling out the bottom rack tricky. Still okay, only mildly inconvenient.
Then came the bad bits. Upon showering, we noticed there was not a drop of hot water, as the heater was broken. The PMC was very responsive and had someone out the next day. All good… until the last night, when the upstairs AC failed. The thermostat worked fine and air came out of the vents, but it was toasty. We didn’t bother calling because we were out early the next morning.
I believe this could be a five-star property with just a bit of attention. Even with the noted issues, it still qualified for three. Hope this is helpful.
