We spent a long weekend in September and we were blessed with beautiful weather. That allowed us to take full advantage of the extras available! Matt showed me how to take a shortcut to walk to downtown Clarkston, where we had lunch and played at Depot park.
We kayaked, a lot! My 8 year old took the opportunity to learn how to kayak on our first day and then spent as much time as possible on the two lakes. It was such a blessing to have the kayaks, life jackets, canoe and paddle boards. Really helped to keep everyone entertained.
Matt delivered charcoal on our arrival day to make sure we had enough for our stay, and provided firewood for evening bonfires. The house was sufficiently stocked, including beer and wine for the adults and snacks for the kids. Everything we needed to cook was easily found in the adorable cabin kitchen. The tiny dishwasher was a welcome bonus during our cabin stay.
The beds were extremely comfortable. I travel quite a bit and it’s such a relief to have a comfortable mattress when you’re not sleeping at home. The view of the lake out of the “main” bedroom was breathtaking. Was king up to nature every morning was the best way to start the day.
They were the ultimate hosts and made us feel relaxed and welcomed. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.
