"First time in Kobe. Nice hotel in the harbor. I stayed in a corner suite on the 9th floor. Had a great view of the harbor. Was nice to sit out on the deck at night and have a drink. The second morning staying a cruise ship pulled up right beside the hotel. It was so quiet you wouldn't even know they were coming in. Sitting on the 9th floor.I was the same height at the top of the ship. Was fun sipping morning coffee in my robe watching them come into port Good location 10 minutes walk from Kobe...

"Wonderful experience! A stately & historical large ryokan nested on the eastern hill slope of Gero town. My second stay at this ryokan & will continue to stay there next time I am in Gero. Very good vista of the town in the morning or evening. Very large garden & landscape, with tall tress & seasonal flower trees.or bushes.. a beautiful & varied feast for the eyes & senses if one come at different seasons... Has its own hotel museum to showcase it's checkered history & early artifacts, etc....

"I have visited this property four times since 2012. The hotel is beautifully nestled in the forest and lit up with pin lights, the rooms are lovely and spacious and come with a deep plunge bath. It is convenient to walk to the slopes, on the main shuttle service and one can walk to surrounding restaurants, bars and ski rentals.
