We arrived to find our room was switched to a smaller room due to construction. When contacting the front desk, she stated they tried calling and leaving a voicemail on Feb 12 about the switch. We did not book this room until Feb 27 and never received a voicemail. I received all other communications-a text through the app, texts, and emails-never a voicemail! We were offered a 10% discount. We’re on vacay for the weekend so we rolled with it, determined to have a good time until the ceiling literally started to fall in the living quarters and in our food and drink. We then contacted Rose, the GM and was told since they contacted us and we received the 10% discount she was only willing to offer us another 10% or we could find another place to stay on our own and move and the construction company would only be there until 8 p.m. We tried to find another room but nobody had a room for 1 night. Being the last day of our vacay by this time, we accepted the 10%, never once receiving an apology for the inconvenience, instead ridiculed because we did not get a voicemail on Feb 12-15 days prior to our reservation. I booked this weekend vacay to get some peace after experiencing a life altering medical diagnosis and there was no peace, only shame, horrible customer service with lack of empathy and a horrible time. The property was also dangerous to access by a person with a disability like myself due to the ramp being blocked. I have videos and pictures that I’m willing to share.
