The small cottage was just perfect for its quaintness and how well it was designed. Location was perfect for getting to all the great sites to see in and around Charleston NC.

As promised/advertised
Amenities as advertised. Good location with multiple dining spots in walking distance. If you are a light sleeper - you may hear helicopters landing at the medical center, but was not an issue to me. Contacted concierge twice for the advice/recommendation and received prompt reply. Overall great stay.

A Lovely Place That Turned Bad
The cottage is very cozy and neat. The place was clean and very comfortable. The location was convenient, but with the hospital just down the street, expect at least a half dozen ambulances driving by every night and an occasional life flight helicopter. Everything seemed good until one night when a Palmetto bug (huge cockroach) ran across the living room floor. Later that night, because I couldn't sleep, I found another one on the kitchen counter. The next day I asked that they have the place sprayed which they did. The thing that bothered me almost as much as the bugs was they never followed up to see if everything was okay. Maybe it's normal to have cockroaches in your place in SC, but we're from up north and it's not normal. Almost ruined our entire vacation. My wife wouldn't spend anytime downstairs for the remaining time there. We will likely never come back to Charleston, but if we do we won't be staying in any old cottages or homes.

Charleston, Spring Street
Unit was immaculate, well equipped, and updated. Reasonably located—about a fifteen minute walk to King Street and a half hour to the historic area. Some ambulance and helicopter noise from nearby hospital, which was greater during the weekend. Overall, the unit suited our needs well.

Great rental!
My husband and I really enjoyed this little property. It was clean, close to downtown, and included everything for a comfortable stay. They even left a sampling of local coffee in the kitchen. The property has exceptional customer service too! Thank you for a great get-away for our 26th wedding anniversary!

Great place! Location may not be for everyone
Great place to stay with one other person. Plenty of room and had everything we needed for our 4 day stay. The bed was comfy and the kitchen had all we needed for cooking at the place if we wanted to do so. The down side to this place is its location. It is right in the heart of the Medical University. Lots of sirens at all times of the day and life flight landing and taking off at least 4 times one morning when I was sitting on the balcony having coffee. It is so close you can feel the wind from the chopper when it comes in for landing. We didn't spend a ton of time at the house so it was minor but enough for me to mention it. You really don't hear much inside the house so it must be pretty well insulated. The property manager was very responsive so I would definitely use this company again but I would choose another location.

Great location, close to MUSC
Contactless entry, close to MUSC. Everything was clean. It got a little noisy at night with high winds, city buses, and the occasional ambulance (this property is near the hospital). But the amenities were as described and it was comfortable.

Very nice but could use a couple extra details
Very nice small building in trendy area. Walking to downtown is reasonable if you're fit but you'll be sweaty. Bed was comfy and the upstairs balcony was a nice hangout spot. Have a few small criticisms: 1- There were three parking spots directly in front of the unit, but all of them were allocated to other units instead of ours. 2- The hospital nearby added a lot of background noise to our stay with ambulances and helicopters. A little more soundproofing would go a long way. 3- The first floor is arranged inefficiently. The kitchen is great but the rest isn't. The loveseat and TV doesn't work as a hangout spot. I recommend maximizing that space with a couple couches and more surfaces instead to make it more cozy and a viable chill-space.

The Crow’s Nest is a nice stand-alone unit, very spacious for two. The half bath a plus. Located about mile and a half from center of town, it is very near the MUSC and the hospitals. A car is needed in this location. But it is a great location to get to the islands, and plantations.

Very good base for exploring Charleston SC
We had a very enjoyable week here in January. The apartment is nicely modernized with all amenities. Very clean and well equipped. The Crows Nest is a standalone unit, so it's very quiet and private. There is an excellent restaurant "Chez Nous" just three blocks up Spring Street. This apartment is within walking distance of the downtown, and all historic areas. We also got passes to the Charleston bike share, (Holy Spokes) and rode all around the peninsula one day. There is inexpensive Lyft/Uber anywhere in the city from here. Charleston is a fabulous foodie destination, and this apartment makes a good base to explore from. We had a great time here.

We had a great time in Charleston and the Crow’s Nest was a perfect spot to stay in while in town!
The Crow’s Nest was conveniently located within walking distance of lots of great places! The place was very clean and comfortable - we enjoyed the porches and comfortable spaces to relax in when the heavy rains hit. I would definitely stay here again and look forward to returning to Charleston at some point in the future!

Great location with many great restaurants, shops & bars to walk to. It was not quite the cleanest, especially considering the extra cleaning fee added to the reservation cost.

A chill in the air.....
The Crow's Nest was conveniently located to many of Charleston's attractions. One negative of it's location is the inability to walk to the main historic district, King St or the Market area. The upstairs bedroom was comfortable with a nicely appointed bathroom. The lower level was adequately furnished with a loveseat. The kitchen had the usual appliances, although the microwave was a bit high. We stayed the week after Christmas 2017. It was a colder than normal week. We would have enjoyed returning to the Crow's Nest and relaxing in the lower level, but that could not be. There was a single thermostat in the unit upstairs. The upper level heated nicely. The issue was with the lower level. The heat vents were located at ceiling level in the kitchen. There was no way to direct the heat down as the position of them only allowed an upward flow. Hot air does rise and that's where it went or stayed at the ceiling level. The solution would have been to rotate the vent panels over to allow for the louvers to be directed downward. We called and quickly talked to someone. We were supplied with a space heater but that was inadequate in heating up the space. One day their HVAC tech came to check the system and indicated it was operating as it should. We didn't have an issue with the system's operation and agreed to that evaluation. It was the inability of heating the lower level. It was at least 20 degrees colder than the upstairs and forced us to wear our jackets several evenings. Hopefully, the vents will be corrected but bring additional clothing if staying during the winter months as a precaution.

Fantastic historic cottage ...
A really great place to stay! ... Quirky, historic and characterful. The property is very tastefully furnished, spotlessly clean and located in a 'real' neighbourhood,. Easy walking distance to local restaurants and pubs, dine like a local, you won't regret it! The owners were very professional throughout the entire process ... With very clear instructions and ready to offer local recommendations etc ... Located about a mile or so from the main historic district of Charleston, but a very easy, and interesting walk or Uber from the centre of town ... but Charleston is a visual feast, and better enjoyed on foot! We would certainly return, and recommend The Crows Nest ...

Clean, comfortable, updated, and convenient!
The Crows Nest was the perfect place to stay in Charleston. It was convenient to shopping, restaurants and highways as well as a short drive to Liberty Square and the French Quarter. The king bed was comfortable, and the updated bathroom and kitchen were lovely. The balconies were the perfect place to relax with a glass of wine or morning coffee. We would definitely stay again if visiting the Charleston area.

Very Cute and Clean
The rental on Spring Street, Charleston, was very cute. It was a two story with the master bedroom, bath, and full washer/dryer upstairs. The unit was impeccably clean. Bravo for that. It was located near the Medical University of South Carolina so there was a lot of student housing around. We had two poodles, and walking them was a little bit of a challenge because the green space was at a premium. However, we were able to find places once we scouted around. It was too far to walk to the battery area. I was a little disappointed at first, but found it to be an easy ten minute car ride. Quinn was there to help us with our luggage and to acclimate us to the surroundings. The extra service was very much appreciated. We ate at some fabulous restaurants in Charleston, The Muse and Cypress. I would recommend them especially the Muse. Their Snapper was wonderful. Grocery shopping at Harris and Teeter was a real treat. I wish we had these stores in Ohio. I would recommend this place to others, however, not if someone has issues with stairs. They were quite steep. We would go back there again.

Conveniently located; clean; pet friendly.
Charleston is great of course. The property is conveniently located and is perfect place to stay for a couple. There are nice restaurants in the area within walking distance. All appliances and equipment in the property worked fine. There is good parking for one vehicle (and not more). The only surprise we had with the location is the occasional medical evacuation helicopter that comes in during the night at the MUSC hospital
