「This studio is perfect for a weekend in Hunter. It is small, as advertised, but clean and functional and has all the necessities. The host was proactive in sending relevant information and highly responsive to my questions before and after we booked. The ski resort is a very short drive away. Downtown is lovely and Fellow cafe is not be be missed. 」

「My family and I had a great time staying in Athens. The facilities allow for a host of activities such as getting out on the lake or going for a dip in a heated pool. The lake itself is much bigger than I had anticipated. The layout of the house works well and the basement was a great gathering spot especially on rainy days. The only sore spot was the garbage process. You’ll need to throw out trash using special bags provided by the HOA and we only received two bags. That’s not enough for a...

「Tons of room, well stocked kitchen, clean and tidy. Bunk beds were falling apart a bit- screws and pieces were loose- and the water in the house ran reddish brown every day until you ran the faucet for 15 min or so. Owner said it was from well water, which was fine, just not too appealing. We had a great trip overall and would likely rent again!」

「Everything was as advertised and do easy to use. It was luxurious and modern yet cozy and accessible. Steve was a delight and so helpful as a host. We will absolutely be back.」

「Nice little house to stay in if you're looking to spend time in the mountains. It's old, for sure, but it was comfortable and conveniently located. Hosts were great about communicating. It was a nice, chill vacation.」

The owner was accessible and invested in our comfort in his home. Renters should understand, however, that the primary bedroom is in a loft, with no shades or drapes to cover the windows. 「This was our second stay at this house. For being a somewhat smaller house, it has all your need for a ski weekend. Our family of 6 did just fine with sleeping arrangements and amenities to cook meals and just relax. It’s so close to the hunter downtown area and ski area. Very convenient. 」

「Everything on the property was exactly as described and better. My adult siblings and I have been renting ski homes for the past 18 years and I can honestly say that this was the nicest home we have stayed in. Well equipped with everything you would need and stocked well with garbage bags, paper towels, toilet paper, etc. The kitchen cabinets were all labeled which made things easier to find and return to their proper places. 「We very much enjoyed our time spent at Eagles Nest playing pickleball, ping pong, time at the pool and using the various boating equipment. Just beware as you may encounter a water snake or 2 but they are timid and we continued enjoying the dock activities such as fishing, kayaking, paddleboating or just laying on the floating mat.
