Minutes from the tettegouche visitor center, and a close drive to other nature related things."

"This property was so beautiful waking up to the views of the lake at sunrise and sunset, the fires are night looking under the stars was incredible. The cabin was in a great location to all the hiking trails and beach locations. We saw a bear on the property two days in a row eating berries. I would definitely stay at this cabin again! "

"I'll start out with the only real negative I have for this place: it's kind hot when it's hot outside. But that's just the reality of a lot of places up north. If you want to ensure a cool stay, get a place with a/c. Otherwise, stay out of the house during the day if you get unlucky and there's hot weather. There's plenty of stuff to do during the day up there to make up for it. With that out of the way, I can say that this place was great. The well-stocked kitchen met all our needs (including the reverse osmosis filter, a very nice inclusion). We wound up staying in all the bedrooms, and so I can say that all the beds were comfy. The basement has a musty odor, unfortunately, but it never stopped my kids from staying down there for (too many) videogames. One thing I didn't realize is that the picture with the great stargazing windows above the bed is the loft bed. That's really only useful if the person sleeping up there wants to be the last to go to bed at night and the first to get up in the morning. And you will be if you sleep there, because there's no escaping the massive sunlight coming in. But if you don't want that, there are plenty of other beds to take unless you're going up with a huge crew. The private beach is the real jewel in the crown here. It's a very nice one, with fairly easy access (just a couple of steep steps up/down). Even though it's not a very long stretch, my kids loved exploring it, with lots of great rock hunting opportunities."
