「We had a great stay in Captiva over spring break. This home is located in Sunset Captiva, a small neighborhood with a well-maintained community pool, newly refinished tennis and pickelball courts, newer gas grills, and an easy, short walk to the beach. The beach is beautiful. I would note that the home itself is dated and there is some deferred maintenance. However, it was clean and the host was helpful and responsive. 」

「Nails are protruding above decking and a safety hazard. The slider needs a new lock and currently not secure. The dish washer quit working. And, we had demolition next door with loud construction equipment and the smell of diesel exhaust. Considering the cost, we were quite disappointed. We enjoyed ourselves when we were not at the property.」

「This is a really nice little place very close to the beach. Check-in was easy, as was the check-out process. We loved how secluded we felt but also how close the house was to restaurants and the shops on the main road. We rented bikes but didn't need them as walking was a much easier option. The house was in decent condition. As it is a rental property I don't really expect perfection, but the things that mattered to us were clean sheets and towels, both of which this house had. 「We have enjoyed many visits to Captiva Island but this was first since Hurricane Ian. Our unit was in wonderful condition - very attractive and well-supplied with kitchen equipment. We planned to mostly eat in given that not as many restaurants are up and running. We spent our days walking the beach and closely observing the osprey pair on their nest and their favorite perching tree right next to our screened porch.」
