Captiva Cottages are eight vacation cottages on landscaped grounds, right on the water facing Pine Island Sound. Relax among peaceful, natural beauty and enjoy the shared pool. The cottages are ground-level for easy access, and the shops, restaurants, and activities of the Captiva Village are about one minute’s walk.

These cottages are undoubtedly the best value on Captiva Island, offering an outstanding waterfront location and clean, comfortable interiors at a bargain price. They are perfect for extended-stay couples, naturalists, and larger families and groups (rent several cottages).

Smart TVs ( 50 inches or larger) are located in both the living room and bedroom of the cottage!

Captiva Cottages provides beach towels, beach chairs, and a beach umbrella for your day at the beach!

Parking is limited to one car. The dock is now available for use at $75 per night.


All reservations/cancellations are subject to the terms and conditions (policies) of the American Realty Rental Agreement once the reservation is booked thru 3rd party platforms.

Policies include but are not limited to credit card/debit card convenience fees and cancellation fees.

It was very convenient. Beautiful landscaping. The cottage needs a mirror. The only one was im bathroom. I recommend a full length mirror in bedroom.

Perfect trip. My husband and I stayed for several days. Weather was perfect. Cottage was perfect. Pool was perfect. and yes, beach was perfect. Do not hesitate booking here. Perfect for a couple and one child. We had a 1 bd. Just make sure you stop at Walmart before crossing bridge to Sanibel. Not much shopping on Island and what there is will be expensive.

Very relaxing and quiet atmosphere!
I had the pleasure of staying at the #6 cottage for two night. It was peaceful, quiet and very comfortable. It is waking distance to the beach, some stores and restaurants. Good side to see a sunrise. Next time I will stay longer!

Captiva is almost heaven.
This little cottage has everything you need. It is cute, clean and spacious for two people. All appliances worked well and the bed is comfortable. It is also within walking distance of many restaurants and historic sites. Only negitive...3 days before checking in there was confusion about a contract I was suppose to have received via email to sgn and return. I never received a contract but the impolite lady at the real estate company insisted she sent it. We got that cleared up and did not let it ruin our time in florida. Bottom line, if you rent via VRBO and think you are good to go, you are not. Contact American Captiva Rentals for the rest of the story. I have used VRBO many times in the past but never had this issue before. I do not think I would rent this cottage again because of this confusion regarding addition contract signage.

Great Little Place
Super cute, comfortable little property. Had everything we needed. Walking distance to pretty much anything on Captiva. Quiet. Never really heard or saw other visitors unless coming/going. The pool is definitely on the smaller side and the one dock/pier is broken and supposedly ensnarled in some legal battle (we heard about as we passed by the property on our shelling trip with Captiva Cruises—the tour guide talked about it!) So you can’t walk out on it, but the shoreline there is a beautiful place to sit and watch a sunrise. Would definitely recommend!!!

Cottage was clean and updated, grounds were nicely landscaped. Very quiet which is what I was looking for. Enjoy the Bayside just as much as the gulf side. Loved watching the sunrise each morning. Restaurants were just ok..nothing fabulous. Will definitely be back.

The cottage was very comfortable, clean, and well equipped. The location was wonderful, park and walk to everything! The pool was clean. Views of the bayside were fantastic. I wish the dock was fixed and in working order. It was in obvious disrepair and roped off so you could not enter. It would have been a great snorkeling spot.

The kitchen was very well equipped except the disposal didn't function. Was disappointed the gas grill did not work and the bed was REALLY firm. Property was close to all kinds of good places to eat. Loved the pool and view.

Nice little cottages in a great Captiva location. No resort style thrills- just a nice simple cottage-all you need. Watch the sunset on the gulf beach, 3/10ths mile walk, and the sunrise on the back bay on property.

A sweet cottage on an sweet island.
Our cottage was excellently appointed with many thoughtful extras. The linens and towels were soft and lovely. The kitchen was very nicely completed. Cute beachy furniture and accessories. The location was close to many things, Capitva has to offer. Thanks for a great weekend getaway.
