Captiva Beach Hotel

"Property was good still a lot of construction going on to repair damage from the hurricane. Staff was very nice great service overall experience was nice and easy walkable to pool and the private beach. "

"Our room had a gulf ocean view. So, location of this hotel next to the ocean is its strongest attribute. The room contains nice enough furnishings. The dual comfort air heater and cooling unit made an annoying noise when on. The sink in the cooking area is small for dealing with dishes and the faucet sprays water everywhere. I am critical here since the room is expensive including resort fees. There are resort amenities available for guests including bicycles, spa, and restaurants. "

"This unit is in a great location and steps from the beach. Although our unit was small, it was all we needed for a quick 2 night get-a-way. It was clean, the bed was comfortable and the limited kitchen amenities were just enough to keep us fed. Appreciated the chairs, umbrellas and beach toys. For a longer stay I would suggest one of the second or third floor units but for the money, the first floor and sand right outside of the door this was a great place."

"Not the same experience as previous years. This is our third stay here.When we checked in, we noticed the bed was OUTRAGEOUSLY high. Like 40" off the floor. I literally had to get a dining chair to get into bed. Not sure how an older person could safely get in and out of bed. The couch in the living room is broken. The frame across the back is completely broken and collapsing making the couch very uncomfortable. We ended up sitting in the desk chairs the entire week. We were given TWO bath...
