「The cabin was clean and well stocked with all the necessities! The hosts were very helpful and accommodating. You cannot beat the view or the peacefulness of the location. This is the perfect spot if you want to get away and enjoy the quiet part of life.」

「We stayed for 2 days. Brought steaks and other goodies to grill. We enjoyed the view from the deck. We refilled the hummingbird feeder and enjoyed the many visitors. We've never heard a hummingbird chirp! It was a nice quiet getaway to reset and recharge. We'll be back next time we want a quiet getaway.」

「Pros: beautiful/private wooded area, very friendly locals, great winery within walking distance, lots of hiking trails to pick from, cabin has massive potential to be A stay Cons: front door has a hole in it, back door doesn’t lock, hot tub has broken jets and doesn’t really get hotter than bathtub, needs a a new cleaning crew. Coming into the cabin with beads, chips, dead bugs on floor was not ideal」

「Overall, this property is exactly as listed. It’s in a great location. The only issues we had were lack of toilet paper and paper towels and the cleanliness of the hot tub and back deck. There is a lack of water pressure in the shower. Nathan was very responsive when we contacted him. He is a new owner of this property, so hopefully this review will help him address easily corrected issues.」

「Nice cabin away from everything. Wish there was wifi but if you want to disconnect from the wood this is the place. Only downfall wasn't as close to the lake as I'd had hoped but overall nice property owner very clean and nice cabin. Many board games to play to stay entertained」

「This was the perfect place for my family during our trip to holiday world. It was very quiet and that was exactly what we were looking for. The owners were super nice and gave us great information on the area (food,shopping,etc). Dogs on the property were very friendly and My kids wanted to take them home…lol. 「exactly as described. It felt like we were far away from civilization, which is what we wanted. So much shade & quiet. Beds were comfortable and all amenities were described accurately. As a reminder, this property has no wi-fi (we acknowledged that in advance) and we were truly unplugged 👍」

「I recently visited Southern IN for a golf trip and had the pleasure of staying in the Mitchell’s cabin. Fully stocked kitchen, great outdoor area and super comfy king bed in the upstairs loft. I managed to leave something pretty important behind, and Martha was very accommodating getting it returned to me. Btw, Sultan’s Run in Jasper, IN (30 min drive from cabin) is a fantastic golf course.. just as good as the Dye Course in French Lick and less than a third of the cost to play! If I make my way...

「We had a guys weekend away that included grilling out, playing games, and hanging out. There were a large group of us and the house fit our needs perfectly while giving us an atmosphere that we could relax in and enjoy the natural beauty of Rough River. Mitch was an excellent hose and super easy to work with. My whole group and I would highly recommend!」

「My three sisters and I really enjoyed the house. Everything was clean and all necessities were provided. The house is just located around the curve from the Schwartz Amish restaurant. We enjoyed the home cooked dinner buffet. The fried chicken was the bomb. Went back the next morning for breakfast and it was delicious also.
