"When I search on Vrbo for properties I found this particular property amazing. When we got there my mild was blown away, I thought I was in a nightmare. We did not stay there as what we bought was not even near what the host presented to us. The jacuzzi was filthy, we were told that the bar and restaurant were not open up until thursday, on facebook there is a monday to friday buffet, same photos always. The entrance to the property was through a bedroom which only had a blind which only half...

"Thank you for all. Property is huge, location is great, with garage. Actually all things was perfect. If we are sometimes return to Madeira, this flat will be first thing, which i check it."

"Defiantly the worst property Ive stayed at, I wish it had reviews before I booked as I’m sure they would of agreed with my account of my time there. We killed two cockroaches, had small insects in our belongings, I’d leave the house and find them in my hand bag! The property had a strange smell, stray cats which was heartbreaking as they’d be looking/ begging fofor food. The bathroom in our room had no door, plus the water system didn’t work, so it was either piping hot (enough to make a coffee)...

"A very good place to live. The location is great at the top of the mountain. The view is very beautiful. The service is excellent. The owner of the hotel is a wonderful and very nice person. I advise everyone to try this excellent hotel and they have cars if you want to rent a car ... Next time if I visit Madeira I will go to the same place"

"The host will pick you up from the airport for €20. He answered all my WhatsApp messages very quickly. You really need a car if you stay here. The staff I met were really friendly. If you book, make sure (before you pay) with the host what actually is the accommodation you pay for. Re-confirm when you book and after you have booked. I found the description incredibly unhelpful."

Days before our arrival I informed him of the time we'd reach the hotel, despite this, when we arrived there was nobody on site to assist us. "Het huisje ligt rustig in de bergen. Je hebt een (huur)auto nodig om het eiland te verkennen. Uitzicht is mooi (je kijkt richting de oceaan) maar de inrichting is erg basis. "The complex had everything we needed. Spacious and clean apartment with an amazing view over Funchal and the sea, with a nice size balcony and outdoors seating. The downside was the road in-between the accommodation and the facilities. It was quiet late at night although the traffic in the morning with all the tourist vehicles coming up the hill was rather noisy. We live in a village, so noticed it. "This was a great property located at the halfway point of the island so easy to explore either side. Close to a lovely beach and easy sea bathing with lots of shops too. The roads are steep but then they are anywhere in Madeira. Certainly a good workout if you decide to go walking on the numerous paths."

"Lovely colourful rooms. A bit on the small size but you don’t spend a lot of time in them. Great that as a little kitchenette but if I recall correctly no kettle? Nice little swimming pool at the back. Also can use Pestana pools next door. The pool restaurant next door could improve on their snack offerings. Offer simple things like hot chick fries and snacks. Good location, close to restaurants, grocery store and a great bakery/cafe (A Confeitaria). The staff was super friendly and helpful....

"The Spa was incredible. We used the ocean view sauna every day and loved it! Room was clean and tidy, we had a nice view from our balcony. Walkable to many restaurants in the area. It was a relaxing and quiet location compared to the more lively Funchal. "

"We had a pool suite for a family of 4, and the room was enormous and so luxurious. The bed was very comfortable, and my children said that the sofa bed was too. We absolutely loved the pool on the balcony. Breakfast was very busy, and an amazing number of guests somehow manage to drop food on the floor. The staff were quick to clean it up and replenish the food. We had buffet dinner once and that was really nice. There was a good selection of food that was constantly topped up. The pools were excellent, but it was slightly annoying that other guests hogged the sunbeds by placing towels on them early in the day but didn't go there until later. "
