This would be our second stay at Arlene’s. The farmhouse has everything you could need, beds are excellent, kitchen is fully stocked, used the grill regularly. Best front porch to watch your day start or your evening end. We made it to the Stanwood community fair, Friday farmers market, trivia on Wednesday at pub 282, kayaked on lake Howard and got in 10 rounds of golf. Can’t wait to get back next year…

An amazing place to stay

My husband and I had the best 2 weeks at this property. Marla's communication was awesome answered questions quickly. She left us Crumbl Cookies which was a big hit with our family. We would absolutely stay there again.

Another Great Stay!

We stayed at the Arlene again while visiting family in town. The house was as wonderful as last time. Super clean, comfortable and equipped. Probably the only thing that would have made our stay even better was an electric kettle for tea. But that’s just me being fussy. Awesome place, would definitely stay again.

A great stay... again...

We are repeat customers at this location and we just love it. The owners did an awesome job at renovating this farmhouse, we had everything we needed to cook while onsite (which is a big thing for us); the location on Camano Island is also beautiful and relatively close to Stanwood where you have more options for provisions and dining as well.

Enchantment awaits you at this cottage

This is the perfect get away home for one person or a small family. The property is situated right in the midst of bayside walking and easy driving to all the island amenities. It's setting is next to a large field which gives one a sense of space and serenity at this very gracious get away home.

Charming farmhouse

We enjoyed our stay at The Arlene. It was great to get away but still have the comforts of home. We were a little uneasy about traveling during COVID times, but we felt very safe. The house was well cleaned and away from others houses. We are definitely going to visit again.

Hummingbirds Galore

Loved watching the Hummingbirds feeding on the crocosmia! And the kitchen was nice and large enought to have help with making meals. We loved the big yard and wished we had the time to play Bocci. We will definitely stay again!

We were visiting our daughter while she is doing her internship nearby. We loved this location! This home is cozy and sharp. Beautiful job on the remodel/decorating! We also enjoyedCamano Island! Golf fanatics

We just finished an Alaska cruise and was lucky enough to spend nine days on Camano Island. It was golf, great food from the Blue Heron and a ferry trip for more golf on Lopez Island. We did hikes on Camano golfed up North at Sudden Valley, we had such a great time we’ve booked the house again for next summer. It would have been our best trip ever if the blackberries would have been ripe, but there’s always next year… Thank you, Randy & Marla…

Lovely old home made new

Aside from how beautifully this historic house has been redone (truly amazing details), what really knocked it out of the park for us were the owners' supportive, reliable communication and the cleanliness of the place. We have to be sticklers for clean surroundings due to immunosuppression, and this is, hands down, the cleanest place we've ever stayed. The beds were super comfy, the book selection fantastic, and the porch perfect for a morning cup of tea. We hope to return one day with our older teen who loves bird watching, and this place is perfect for that. Thank you so much!

Perfect Cottage Stay!

Perfect place for family to stay during this unusual Christmas season. Marla was terrific to work with, accessible and notified us when the Arlene was ready 3 hours early for check in! Yeah! Beautifully restored, kitchen fully equipped, and a gorgeous holiday flower arrangement greeted us to create a celebratory Christmas feel! Clear instructions, good WIFI, and nice neighbors too! Easy access from side entrance, about 7 stairs with hand rails on both sides to enter, no problem for my 82 year old mom. Walk in shower. Comfortable and cozy living room with real fireplace and a Duraflame log to get you started! Highly recommend if you are on Camano, could not have been an easier or more comfortable stay! We will definitely book again! Thank you so much!

Peaceful Thanksgiving Get-away

We traveled to Camano Island to celebrate Thanksgiving with family. The Arlene was the perfect haven to recover from the family chaos. ;-) In all seriousness, there wasn't space for us to stay with family so it was great to have such a wonderful space to retreat to at the end of the day. Incredibly quiet, beautifully decorated, fully equipped. And wow, the croissants that we found waiting for us on our arrival were incredible. Such a welcome surprise treat! Thank you for such a wonderful stay. I wish we would have had more time to enjoy the outdoor space and fire pit as well. Next time!

Quaint and Charming home

Lovely, charming home with great decor and wonderful yard!

We loved the Arlene! The house is a charming old farmhouse with a well appointed kitchen and comfortable beds. We spent our evenings around the fire pit under the string lights tucked into the juniper trees! I loved the original hardwood floors and rich history of the house. We were welcomed with some nice personal touches and Marla was a gracious host. I was surprised at how busy the road outside the house was, it didn’t keep us awake or anything but it is definitely a well traveled street, something to be aware of if you are a light sleeper. The house is also on a well, and well water has a unique smell and feel if you are not used to it. We would absolutely return to the Arlene, and hope to someday!
