"**xxx In 34 VRBO rentals, I’ve never been so disappointed as I was in this property at Mountainside Resort in Stowe. The resort is very nice and I place no blame on them. The owner and property management company, however, is another story. The biggest issue was that when we arrived for a 3-night stay, there was a notice on the door that the water at the resort was undrinkable. You could use it to bathe, but not for drinking or for cooking. Further, boiling would not resolve the issue. You had...

"Perfect spot if you’re into beer and walking. The condo was a great size for us and our two kids. They each got a top bunk. We were in a great location to do stuff in the area like the Stowe gondola and Umiak kayaking. And we were just up the hill from the Alchemist and other great beer and food. Only drawback was the water situation-I called to have it replaced and found two guys emptying the jugs. We just bought our own water. "

"My husband and I enjoyed our stay at this condo very much. It was very clean and fresh. The kitchen is fully stocked. Nice big TV in living area for relaxing in the evenings. Peaceful area. There is plenty of room to spare! The location is awesome.I was also able to use the washer and dryer in our condo to wash our clothes before returning home. We hope to return in a couple of years and will definitely try to book this condo again. "

"There are a lot of good things about our stay. We loved being able to walk through Stowe at all hours. We loved the convenience of having a market right next door. And I was able to get a haircut right downstairs. The rec path was close and delightful to walk on. But we had no hot water--none--for the entire stay. Before arriving we were told the hot water heater needed a part that wouldn't be available for 3 days. We were even offered another rental to use instead, but it wasn't right downtown...

"Very communicative hosts and made our stay very enjoyable. Property was very clean and close to everything we wanted to do. Walking and biking and other activities were all right there. "
