If we hadn't arrived by car, we would have thought it was 1775. Well, there is electricity and running water and a washer and dryer. OK. Maybe 1775 is a stretch, but you get the idea.
The Edmonson Lodge is a gem. We stayed 2 nights for a father/daughter trip to the Virginia Creeper Trail, which is only 20 minutes away. There are plenty of beds and enough room. It's clean and has modern conveniences, except WiFi. We liked that we spent more time chatting and playing cards than watching screens.
Highly recommend for a weekend getaway.
