Fantastic Beldon house

I didn't like the size of the room. It was claustrophobic. The largest dimension wad the ceiling height. I also didn't like the fact that I had to let myself in, find my key and then my room. I arrived at approx 19:00 yet no staff to greet me. However,the room was spotless.

Stayed for a friends wedding which took place near by. Lovely room, clean and comfortable. Fantastic cooked breakfast each morning. Kind and welcoming owner who swiftly resolved the slight hiccup of very limited hot water on the first night!

The not so good : - Room décor dated and some areas in need of repair. Sign of damp. Carpets are stained and grubby, in need of good clean or replacement. Likewise the chairs in the room. Likewise the bed covers. No Flannel in bathroom. The cooked breakfast was black and drowning in fat. The good : - Large double room. TV and Kettle and electric points all working. Large shower room / wc. Comfortable bed. Sociable host. Parking. Central Location. Easy to find. Ok for a roof over your head, but I'm afraid its not somewhere I would return.

Bedrooms are a little tired, but comfortable overall and fully functional. Communal areas are lovely, show off the grandeur of the house and have clearly been renovated first. The cooked breakfast was fresh, quick, very reasonably priced and a joy to eat. The host Tim was very pleasant chap, and sorted everything very efficiently. Highly recommended. :)

Tim was very welcoming and is always asking if your comfortable and ensuring if you need anything else. room was lovely and breakfast was very good and had a wide selection of breakfast option and cooked vegetarian meal on option.

1st time at Beldon House
I booked this hotel at short notice because my regular hotel was fully booked. A lovely big house with a large drive and easy to find. I could only book a single room for the price I normally have a double room, and I found it very small and a bit cramped. If I go there again I will book a double room only. The gentleman Tim was very friendly and made a nice breakfast. No food available on an evening but approx. 250 meter's away is the High Street that had an off-licence, a pizza takeaway, a Chinese takeaway / restaurant and several pubs, so plenty of choice. I arrived there quite late so did not have the opportunity to explore any further.
