「Katie's guest house was ideally located and just right for us to see and dance our way through mardi gras this year. It was our first time in the area and we had fun exploring the Atchafalaya swamp, the dance halls and bars and the parades and celebrations for mardi gras. Our favorite Cajun band is Steve Riley and the Mamou Playboys so we were in the right place at the right time! The only problem was which place to go because so much is happening all over, everywhere, at the same time.」

「This was supposed to be a two bathroom situation and upon arrival one bathroom had no water in the toilet at all and the walking machine was taped closed to not be used. There was a broken lamp shade that was just hanging there, which ok no biggie but then there was a broken kitchen chair that was left that could have been potentially sat in and fallen out of. 「We had such a nice little vacation here! The house is beautiful and well appointed—Patti even decorated it lavishly for Mardi Gras. We loved the location because we could go off in all directions to find things to do and fabulous restaurants. Only one tiny suggestion: the beautiful bathtub is very slippery and dangerous for getting out—it could use a nonslip pad or strips and something to grab when exiting the bath. Patti was attentive to our every need, just the best host ever!」

「We stayed here for a long weekend during a family reunion and it was great. Definitely the right size for a couple. Loved strolling the grounds near the Vermilion and bird watching in all the beautiful trees. The house itself was well appointed with everything we needed. It was 21 degrees while we were there, so we especially appreciated the space heaters. Hosts were communicative and helpful. Would totally stay here again. 」
