"We loved everything about this house and the marvelous staff. The house is set in a stunning garden with a spotless pool right on the beach at Gintota. The hpuae is beautifully appointed with 4 lovely bedrooms, a lounge, dining room and tv room. The staff were excerional and catered to all our needs. The only think to be aware of is that the Villa is on a main road, and very close to the railway line which is very noisy throughout the night and did rather spoil our stay. Villa is clean, staff is friendly and always eager to help. Ideal for adults or families. We would definitely come back!!! Thanks for a nice vacation."

"The property is located in a well kept garden next to a small but beautiful beach. Rooms are well kept and relaxing. The staff are fantastic and always willing to accommodate requests. Food was excellent, particularly the Sri Lankan breakfast. The menu has increased and has a great selection of Western and Asian dishes but is quite expensive."

Tired, basic hotel that could do with a refresh

"It's an old hotel. 50 yrs. So it's tired and needs a refurbish. Rooms are OK, but bathroom leaks water from the shower leaving puddles of water in the bathroom. Could smell urine in room 205 when using the shower so probably linked to the drainage system. Pool needs redone as several broken tiles and there were 3 people I saw who cut themselves including a member of staff and my daughter. Restaurant and bar is very good, great choice and food options are lovely. Staff are excellent and very friendly. Opposite a supermarket which is handy. So overall a really nice hotel, pretty basic but has great potential with a bit of investment. "

"It is a nice peaceful resort. The staff especially in the resurant and pool side was so nice and friendly. The main drawback with this resort is it's not a good place during rainy season as it's on the bank of estuary. As the river water comes with force during rainy season the sea is muddy and cannot swim or play in the sea. The next thing is that the staff in the reception have no answer for anything you ask. If you ask what activities you have nearby they will tell you to Google. Tuk tuk is available if you walk to the main road, but they don't even help calling for one. So unless ypu have everything sorted it's better not to stay there as for all activities you have to go to either Mirissa or Weligama. If you are just coming to relax then it's a nice place. Food was not that great."
