This recently renovated cabin has been given a modern rustic makeover with a contemporary twist. If you’re looking for a cabin that combines rustic charm with modern amenities, this is the perfect spot for you!

The cabin is located off the Aska Adventure area, making it easy to access a variety of activities. It’s also close to the historic town of Blue Ridge, where you can enjoy delicious meals at unique restaurants and browse through charming shops. And don’t forget to visit Mercier Orchards for their famous “Fried pies.”

The cabin has three bedrooms and three bathrooms, each with its own unique feel and breathtaking views. The master bedroom is especially popular, featuring an antique bed imported from Spain and offering stunning mountain views. Imagine waking up to a panoramic view while relaxing in your own private sanctuary.

The main living space has been transformed with more windows than ever before, allowing you to enjoy the mountain views while staying comfortable indoors. The fully equipped updated kitchen is perfect for cooking, and the main level has been designed to accommodate entertaining guests. The lower level can be used for playing games or watching movies, providing a versatile space for relaxation and fun.

While we’re thrilled with the new interior spaces, we can’t overlook the three porches. The master bedroom porch offers a peaceful retreat for morning coffee or relaxation. The main level porch provides ample seating for reading, gathering with friends and family, or enjoying chilly nights with an outdoor fireplace.

After exploring the town, going for a hike, or immersing yourself in the adventure area, don’t forget to unwind in the hot tub.

Please note that there’s a security camera facing the driveway, and a $250 fine will be imposed for exceeding 8 guests. Additionally, the interior fireplaces will be turned off from May 1 to October 1.

Great house and great location.
The cabin was really well decorated and made us feel at home. The owner allowed us to bring outlets dog and that made the trip even better. I would highly recommend this property. The location was close to everything but far away enough to make you feel like you were in a cabin in the woods.

Great Getaway Spot
Cabin was beautiful with amazing views. Everything that we needed was provided as far as toiletries/ kitchenware/ supplies/ board games, etc. Nice and Quiet area close to blue ridge center. Fully enjoyed our stay. FYI, last quarter mile to get to the cabin was very steep but we made it! Overall 10 out of 10!

Loved Out Stay!
We were very pleased with the cabin and the view. Everything was very clean, and many things were provided that are often missing. It was quiet and peaceful while still being close to downtown Blue Ridge. I liked that the driveway was flat, but as often expected, the road was a little dicey. Make sure to go before it's dark.

We had three lovely weeks here in August. The house was tastefully decorated. Kitchen space was a bit small, but generally well equipped. Appliances were fine. The bedrooms were all a good size. Views are super. Quite convenient to Blue Ridge. Owner was very responsive.

Just perfect!
We stayed here for a long weekend and the place was just gorgeous. The view is completely unobstructed - you can't even see another house, which is crazy because it's also well located! Our kids enjoyed swinging on the swing and laying in the hammock and we all made a lot of use of the deck. We couldn't get the fireplaces to work, but it only got slightly chilly in September. We would definitely stay again.

Amazing cabin!
We loved this cabin! At first we were a little nervous as when we first arrived around 4pm, the neighbor from uphill was doing karaoke and we can hear them loud and clear but luckily they stopped shortly afterwards. The cabin itself is amazing, we really appreciate the little details : more than enough kitchenware, towels, bathroom essentials ( q-tips, cotton balls!). The cabin is full of personal touches by the owner as well. And super pet friendly! It was so great that a couple of our friends stayed in and enjoyed the cabin for an entire day instead.

In Love With This Cabin!
Stayed for a girls’ weekend and this cabin is amazing and we loved it! It’s private, extremely well stocked, very clean, wonderfully decorated, has an amazing outdoor space, and gorgeous views. The only issue we had was the bed on the top floor is very noisy - every movement makes loud noises which is a bit disruptive to sleep and can be heard from the bedroom underneath. We will be back though!

Must Return Every Year Get Away.
We really enjoy our stay. Have visit Blue Ridge Mountain many times, rented different cabins, but this stay was the best..Ill never recommend a 3 day stay. Our situation, the cost to stay was a little expensive, but its was so beautiful and so much to enjoy...We were celebrating my partner birthday. We arrived late Friday and had to checked out at 10am Sunday. Just not enough time. Wish to return again.

One of our best stays ever!
The Smokey Mountain Shelter was everything we wanted and more! We have traveled as a family throughout the country and internationally and this is one of our favorite rentals. The owners spared no expense - we had cozy linens, plush towels and the home was beautiful. Little extra touches are what really made this home stand out though. Extra accessories for our dog, tea and olive oil out and ready on the counter and some common condiments in the fridge made this feel like a home. The rental was close to some stunning hikes and the town of Blue Ridge exceeded our expectations as well. Don’t skip out on the Swan Drive-in or a mountain air nap on one of the house decks!

True Mountain Getaway
Even though the photos of the property are spectacular, the interior decor and attention to detail in the house makes it special. Everything is well-appointed. From the industrial lighting fixtures to the high-end artwork to the bed linens and comfortable beds to the everything-you-could-want kitchen utensils, no stone was left unturned. And the Mountain View’s are phenomenal! We could hardly wait to get up in the morning to look at the mountain vistas which seemed to change every day. We spent a lot of time in the primary bedroom’s screened-in balcony taking in the views. We enjoyed every minute of our stay. The host returned answers to our online questions immediately. He is very responsive. Definitely a 5-star rating. Highly recommend.

So relaxing!
The property is really beautiful. It is elegantly furnished and very comfortable and clean. The kitchen is very well equipped -- we cooked two nights and had all necessary supplies. The bedrooms were very comfy, though the master on the top floor was a bit warm (we were there in very hot weather). The view off the main porch is just spectacular. It faces north, but we still had lovely sunset views of pink and orange clouds. The hot tub was large and fully functional. Neighbors are a bit close, but you can't really see them from the main porch, and during the summer with the trees leafed out, it felt very secluded. There's not much yard to speak of, so I'm not sure it'd be a great place if you have kids who want to run around outside, but there's a nice fire pit for roasting marshmallows. The host was very helpful and quick to respond to questions.
