Very close to the Hoover Met where we had our volleyball tournament -took MAYBE 6 minutes to get there. Lots of food options both fast food and restaurants. Staff was VERY courteous and met all of my needs. Rooms were clean. Beds comfortable. Able to adjust temperature settings easily.

Overall the stay was average. Staff was friendly. At first glance, the room looked and smelled clean. But look deeper and there were hairs on the shower and bathroom floors and a used razor in the shower stall. Yuk. There was also a previous guests key folder still there. Not a big deal, but makes me wonder about the thoroughness of the cleaning staff. We were there on a Saturday night. I think the street in front of the hotel was being used for street rod races. The engine revving and noise lasted well after midnight. I realize this isn't the hotels fault, but good to know if you are looking for quiet. Location is in a super busy area with lots of traffic, shopping and restaurants.

Breakfast was a joke. The first morning they were out of eggs and milk. There were no muffins or pastries. It was like they were surprised that people were wanting breakfast. We stayed at this location for a family funeral and we needed a breakfast as there wasn't time to eat out. My family had 5 rooms rented for 3 days each. I expected much higher quality.

Check in was easy; however, the receptionist was not very knowledgable about the area. I was not able to Chromecast to the tv in my room as advertised in the QR code in the room, so I had to resort to my iPad to watch my shows since there was no channel list or tv guide provided for the room tv. While I was getting ready for the evening, the wifi stopped working in my room. I called the front desk (I was not sure if it was the same person that checked me in) only to be told to come downstairs if I wanted to use the internet which was not conducive for my needs. When I inquired about the problem, she replied that others have already called about the problem and that she had no idea when it would be resolved. I ask if a manager was aware and/or on duty, she stated no. I asked if i needed to contact corporate to expedite the problem, and she responded to the effect of "if you feel like you need to."I did reach out to corporate customer service. She was apologetic but ultimately no resolution. She opted to give me rewards points; however, I am not one due to not wanting any more junk/cluttering email. No other form of compensation was given. I went down to the bar due to hearing celebration. I was offered drinks without being asked my name or room number. At the end of the evening, I received a call from the front desk saying I left my phone. I told the person that I did not because my phone was in my hand. When I checked out, I had a $25 charge on my account.

No washcloths, bar soap, or hand towels when we checked in the room. As for the breakfast, we got down there at 8:00AM (open until 9:00AM). Ran out of sausage and bagels. All they had left was eggs and grits. Also - no lids for coffee cups Last time I’m ever booking a Hyatt property again!!
