Stayed with a group of families/friends to ski Bromley.
The Good: The location is very close to Bromley Mountain, literally a few hundred yards. The house is large and open, excellent for families with children to spread out and play. The house has all your necessities but is overall pretty basic, without frills. Don't expect a fancy five star experience, but it's perfect if you are more interested in skiing than anything else. The house is clean, but a little worn. Paper products and linens are provided but it is a limited number of towels and paper. Fortunately the property manager dropped off more TP and paper towels as well as garbage bags. The game area downstairs is great, however the two arcade machines weren't functioning (they weren't in the listing so it wasn't a big deal) and the pool table ball return takes some effort to get it to work, but otherwise was a great addition. Hopefully they can repair the arcade games, I think we would have gotten a lot of enjoyment out of them.
The bad: Parking is a little precarious, as you are on a busy highway, particularly when there is snow and ice, which we had. Having said that the property manager came on our second day and plowed out that area which was enormously helpful. Also, the mountain is very close, but it's an uncomfortable walk down the highway when there is little shoulder because of the snow, or it is a challenging little hike uphill to the trails. Not a big deal for adults, but something to keep in mind if you are bringing little ones. We ended up driving down despite the short distance and using the parking lot. Also, the water pressure is very low in the house, so don't expect a long, relaxing post skiing hot shower, you'll want to get in and out quickly. Also, because of the water pressure the dishwasher didn't really clean the dishes at all. We ended up hand washing everything.
However, the positives far outweigh the negatives and we will likely be returning next year. Definitely a great, no frills ski house. Thank you.
