"This stay was our 3rd stay at this hotel. As always we were very pleased with our stay. The staff are extremely welcoming, friendly. And helpful. We stayed for 5 nights over Christmas. The hotel was decorated so nice! Breakfast was good, with eggs, sausage, make your own waffles, cereal, pastries, and yogurt. Our room and bathroom was spotless! We were so comfortable here and will always stay here when visiting family in Sewanee. It is about a 7 minute drive to the University of the South campus and you cannot beat the value you are getting for the price! We highly recommend!"

"I’ve stayed at this lodge twice, once in 2020 and now again in 2024. As someone who works for a 4-diamond hotel in downtown Chicago for the past 10 years, I’d like to offer my honest opinion. For what the property is both inside and out it’s a solid stay. The rooms are consistently clean, and I’ve never encountered any issues like trash etc... While the property might be a bit outdated, it’s important to keep in mind that you’re not staying in a high-rise hotel in Chicago or New York. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the parking is very convenient. The location, just off the expressway, is also ideal for easy access. I’d recommend this lodge to anyone, and I’ll definitely stay again in the future. A big thank you to the staff for making each stay pleasant. "

"From start to finish our stay couldn’t have gone smoother to be honest! Easy to find and relatively close to the highway so when first navigating in at night I was a little worried but found it no problem! When first arriving it was exactly what we were hoping for! The couples were able to go off to their suites and get set up while a few friends claimed the main stay! After getting settled we hopped in the sauna and lounged in the hot tub before playing some cards and crashing. Beds were very comfortable and rooms were easy to control heat/music and media devices. Kitchen was perfect for making big meals and the location is unreal! Got in some great hiking and The Caverns music venue was a short drive and parking was easy! Great spot to stay with your crew if you’re into any of those things! Checkout was easy and smooth as could be just like arriving. Could not have asked for a better experience and plan on booking again!"
