"This is a great resort to stay at. We traveled with our 4 year old who enjoyed the expansive pool. There is not much beach but you can walk or run almost into San Pedro on it (about 2 miles). If you are going to Belize to dive or other tours keep in mind most of them leave from San Pedro. You will need to arrange transport from the hotel, either calling for a taxi or renting a golf cart. "This was one of the most beautiful resorts we saw on the whole island but you need to realize how remote it was. We rented golf carts and it took about 1 hr 20 min to get into town and it's a very bumpy road. It is faster by water taxi but they charge $37USD per person and for a family of 4 that is alot. To the south the next restaurant is about 10 minute drive and south it is about 45 minutes. That is also where the nearest store is. The food at the resort is good. We actually loved how...

"X'Tan Ha was great. Beach cleaned daily, relaxing property you can walk around barefoot. Friendly staff. A little far from town but plenty of restaurants and bars close and excellent food and drinks on site. If you are looking for a quiet relaxed atmosphere X'tan Ha totally delivers."

"The property and people were great starting with the doormen, hotel staff, restaurant employees, maids and front desk staff. Annika was a great concierge. All of the front desk staff was great and informative. Adean, Chloe, and Clotilde (I think) were great. Adean went above and beyond to acquire a product for us and Chloe made us feel like family. "Shaka Caye was the most amazing island and vacation I've ever been on! From the time we got to the marina, the boat ride to the island we were greeted with a cold towel and drink and friendly staff!!
