"We spent 10 wonderful days staying at Chalet Barbara. The chalet is very clean and comfortable with everything you could need for your stay. The stunning views are worth the walk up the steep hill and the hosts who live upstairs were friendly and helpful taking us to and from the station at the beginning and end of our stay so we didn’t have to struggle with luggage. "Very clean, as described, perfect view of Eiger. Very quiet. It is very far from town. Bus station is down the road but bus service stops at 7 pm It’s on a steep hill, no problem for us but should be considered. Didn’t feel kitchen was well-stocked: no frying pan, no salt/pepper. Make sure to stock up on basics like coffee pods and oil for cooking."

"My husband, adult son and I stayed for several days and had a great time exploring the region. The home is lovely and comfortable, with great views, and great access to trails right out the front door. Our host was gracious and helpful with check in and check out. Our only glitch was having to pay an additional tourist fee at the end. Maybe we missed this info when we booked, but it was disappointing. Other than that, we recommend this vacation rental."
