"The staff are warm and made one feel welcomed. They provided prompt service, for example, they were fast when we asked for extra pillow. Moreover, the hotel location is within walking distance from the ferry terminal. The downside is that the water pressure seemed inconsistent and appeared slightly weak, especially for shower. It would be great if the room carpet is being vacuumed during room cleaning."

"This is easily one of the best hotel in Batam, the view is amazing! We are going to stay here again on Christmas and New year! But the breakfast is horrible, I am sorry but all the cakes are hard and cold. Maybe if there’s pancake made fresh and warm bread with cheese that will be wonderful. I don’t even see oranges offered, food are so little at a time so it always runs out. The taste of the food is also not on par with other similar hotel. It’s a shame because the decor and the hotel itself...

"The hotel is under renovation so we could not stay there. Called hotels.com but was put on hold for a ridiculous 92minutes. Agent said will look for a vacancy nearby the amir hotel and get back to me, but did not get back to us after waiting for close to 2 hours. Walk in to a nearby hotel and was immediately offered a room. Waste my time, international call time, money and most importantly ruined the trip for me and my girlfriend. I wish to speak to the higher up of hotels.com for compensation."

I particularly appreciated the hotel’s taxi service, which offered reasonable prices and made it convenient to access the nearby ferry terminal and restaurants. The service overall was good, and I enjoyed the excellent coffee at the breakfast buffet. However, I was disappointed to find ants appearing on the table while I was eating breakfast, which detracted from the experience."
