Didn’t stay the night
As two women staying here by ourselves, this place made us uncomfortable. Wires were cut leading up to the hut (they said it’s been like that for 6 years but how would we know that?) and the lock was broken/tampered with so that it wouldn’t lock at all. Didn’t feel as it was worth it to call someone out as we were in the middle of nowhere and still felt unsafe on the property so we left to find a hotel.

Disliked: Amenities
The hut on the hill was very quaint. But it would have been nice to have better lighting. The evening was very long without lights or radio. Please take note the door knob needs some work.It continually turns without moving the cylinder. I locked myself out and had to use a spoon to force my way in. Also some sort of posting to be aware no one would be their to greet you.

Rustic cabin
It is charming and cozy. there are neighbours close to the property. Something we cannot see on the photographs shown at the advertising.

Great Location!
The property was in a GREAT location being only a two minute drive to the town of Barton, 5 minutes to Crystal Lake, and 15 minutes to Lake Willoughby. It is right off Rt. 91. It is a great affordable option for two looking for a that "glamping" experience. There is a nice outside deck and table for eating and grilling with the provided propane grill. The firepit area was also very nice. We also liked the upstairs loft which has a full size bed. The owner was very attentive and kindly responded to all questions within minutes!

Disliked: Cleanliness
Not clean
On arrival, no explanation on how the accommodation works. First, we were told that there was no shower or indoor toilet. No wood for the fire and a dirty terrace filled with water at all times. Very dangerous. My partner slipped several times. No table for dining inside. No drinking water. In general, very dirty place with spider webs everywhere.
