I don’t know a better word other than, “Thank you”! For the beyond accommodations that was given to my family. We only stayed a week and wish we were able to take Aminata with us. Mrs. Brady was so understanding and was on top of our needs and concerns. The home was extremely well maintained more than I expected. I loved waking up and looking out my window and seeing the fishing boats going out and coming back in the afternoons. Locals were very friendly and we didn’t get harassed by people selling things at all, which was something I thought would happen. This was my first time in Senegal. I was born and raised in the USA, New York City to be exact. Coming from New York City and being able to experience staying at a home outside of my own country and not feeling out of place and being welcomed exceeded all my expectations. I can’t wait to visit Senegal again and stay here. Aminata hosted my family as if we were guests in her own home. She’s a great cook. When she found out my kids love mangos, there was some cut in the refrigerator every night with out asking. That type of thought and care I don’t get to experience often. She recommended a beautiful beach that was 10 minutes away that my family enjoyed. There is a restaurant and people selling beautifully locally made items. If you are looking for something outside of the typical tourist attractions and still close to Dakar this is the home for you. Thank you again for having us in your beautiful home. I look forward to seeing it soon again.
