"We had a wonderful stay at Elk Haven! The cabin was new and beautiful! It had a beautiful wrap around porch with tockers that I would have enjoyed more if it wasn’t so windy and cold ghe days we were there. Truly easy access with plenty of space to park - not the tiny spaces at other lications. It was very convenient to Cataloochee ski resort, and my niece loved seeing the elk! Bruce continually stayed in touch with us and the complimentary water and snacks were perfect since I didn’t have time...

The beds were comfortable, and kitchen was well stocked with essential cooking items. the check-in process and check-out process was simple. Lovely towns of Sylva and Dillsboro were perfect - got nails down and hiked and played games. A Great place for us - thank you for your hospitality. "

"I rented the cabin for my parents 37th wedding anniversary and they had the most relaxing and peaceful stay. I visited my parents one day at the property and the listing pictures do not do it justice. The cabin is far above any other cabin I’ve ever rented. The custom woodwork and attention to detail should be award winning. Not to mention peace and tranquility the cabin has to offer nestled right on the Pigeon River. She followed up with us the next day asking if anything was needed which we really appreciated. The cabin included extra toiletries, dish soap, etc. Overall, everything was great. We had to figure out how to control the heater, how to operate and uncover the jacuzzi. The trash bins were full when we arrived. We didn’t know when to bring them out for collection. The drive is just as others described...treacherous. I wouldn't try it without 4-wheel drive. Communication with host was great!
