"We wanted something on the way to Cadillac Ranch without ending up in Amarillo only to turn around in the morning to come back to the attraction. This affordable motel is also adorably decorated, not in a generic way, so you get that Route 66 feel. Decorative appointments are subtle, and rooms are warmly lit. "This was a great location in a nice neighborhood for our trips to Palo Duro canyon. It had a washer and a dryer, which was a great plus for our Texas roadtrip. Unfortunately the place was not very clean (stains on the chairs that we had to clean before we sat on them), dusty top of the fridge that we had to wash before we put cereals on it. When we moved the couch we found trash, bottles and used napkins, so obviously the cleaning there is not being done properly."
