McKinley House - Feel at Home While You’re Away

9.8 out of 10, Exceptional, (187)
"Stopped here between Colorado and Dallas with my husband and son. I was almost sad that our son is in college and did not fully appreciate the play set in the backyard, or the cool bunk bed in one of the guest rooms. We also didn’t have time to enjoy the gym and the sauna. However, the place is cozy and clean, the host communicates with you, and the beds are soooo comfortable! So… here is my advice to you… Bring your kids and leave time for a workout. This place is great."

"We wanted something on the way to Cadillac Ranch without ending up in Amarillo only to turn around in the morning to come back to the attraction. This affordable motel is also adorably decorated, not in a generic way, so you get that Route 66 feel. Decorative appointments are subtle, and rooms are warmly lit. My pet peeve is any lodging that uses "daylight" colored bulbs (think maximum security prison) in their fixtures instead of soft white. This location of America's Best Value Inn uses only...
