"A nice little cabin in a nice neighborhood. It has all the necessary amenities for a quick get away in the woods. Perfect place if you are wanting to have fun in the snow during winter. The host is extremely friendly, responsive and accommodating. We are definitely going to re-consider this place for our next visit to Alta Sierra."

"My husband and I booked this trip to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary. My daughter has also been asking to go camping for at least a year and we weren’t ready to buy all the equipment. "One of the most beautiful we’ve stayed in, really showcases the mighty Kern river and the glorious backdrop that is the Kern River Valley. You have everything you need, the decor is very cool with a 40’s cabin/Mid Century Modern feel and hosts are so gracious. I would highly recommend The Kern River House!"

"The place is set on a horse ranch. There is a little stream that runs on the property. It has a wood hot tub but I didn't find it as inviting in person as it appeared in the photos. The floor plan of the house is great and easily works for 5 people. The little home is decorated nicely. The property manager was easy to communicate with. Location is not too far from restaurants or the Kern River. I would stay here again!"

"Since we arrive, the magical neighborhood welcomed us with the rabbits around. It feels really lively and purest place, the rocks, the sky, we instantly fall into love We we opened the doors my cousins was so excited and when you see the kids having fun, it’s all that you need.
