"Excellent hotel, within walking distance to center and the Rhine. Tram stop 2 mins walk from hotel if you don't want to stretch your legs. Rooms good with a kitchen and appliances. I only used kettle and fridge. Staff very nice. Would recommend."

The areas itself is ok, it's near a tram stop into the centre of Basel and within close enough proximity to local amenities such as the Co-op to stock up on some essentials for cooking.
