"Spa area was left with used towels strewn around the changing rooms and pool area, plenty of staff on duty, no attempts to clear away. Breakfast was a bit chaotic, not fully explained at first sitting. "

Booked a classic double room but when we arrived were informed that they upgraded us to an executive room which was really large and immaculately prepared. We had use of the spa facilities if needed for additional cost but free use of the swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna for 1 hour per day which made for a relaxing time after a long walk around York. "Staff and restaurant very nice, rooms are dated. We stayed in an Exec Room which we felt was on the small side, it didn't feel like an upgrade from a classic room. Tea/Coffee and water in the room is complimentary, everything else is chargable. Overall it was a very nice stay, once in the room I didnt get the luxury feel"
