"Friendly welcome, decent breakfast, clean room.and shared bathroom, good parking. Good view from dining room and a short walk into town. A minor point was that there was nothing on which to dry hands in the bathroom. "

"This is a charming older hotel with updated rooms and bathrooms. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food in the dining room is excellent. "

"Rod and Gloria were wonderful host. Our ferry arrived after dinner hours, so they prepared a platter of sandwiches so we'd have something for dinner. Rod greeted us upon arrival and provided an overview of the area and recommended various sites to see. We stayed at several B&Bs during our Scotland trip and this one was our favorite. "

"Lovely warm welcome. We were in room 2 and were disturbed by the owner's chatter from the room below during the afternoon / early evening. Lovely large room and great pillows and duvet. Perfect for ferry foot passengers. Possibly a little over priced for an out of season stay. The hotel we had stayed in the previous evening was better value for money."

"Having booked a stay away for my other half for a chirstmas preseant (a bucket list one no less) I recieved an email from Tower guest, stating that due to an error, they would not be able to continue my booking. This meant I lost the accomadation (which I was give the money back) however this left me having to source new accomadation which was undue stress at christmas. I will therefore not recommend either this hotel or Expedia to anyone. "
