"Location on the water"

"My wife and I just returned from a week-long stay at the Mazzaro sea Palace. We were captivated by everything about the resort, but most notably the superior quality of the staff. "The staff was exceptional. Everyone was so helpful and friendly. The hotel is gorgeous and our suite had a stunning view of the Ionian Sea. The mattress was wonderfully comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. I loved seeing Andrea every morning. However, I would skip the restaurant, it was disappointing. There are many other great restaurants in Taormina. I highly recommend the Palazzo Vecchio. Truly terrific!"

"In the past food was much better, not enough options at breakfast etc. The front stairs to enter so dirty as well as the pool area nothing cleaned daily including pool chairs. We will not go back The air conditioning was horrendous too!!!! We will not return. "

"This is a charming hotel, half way up the hillside, surrounded with olive, fig and lemon trees. The hosts are very welcoming, the food is home cooked and lovely and the views stunning. Rooms are old fashioned and comfortable and the pool area is quiet and relaxed. You need a car to make the most of exploring the local area and getting down to the beach and supermarket."
