"The Park Hyatt is a great hotel in a lovely neighborhood, and with a terrific pool. Service was uniformly excellent. But it has held on to the irritating habit (now abandoned by most top hotels, especially in European cities) of having a minibar that, if you move an object (say, to cool the bottle of room-temperature water that is provided to guests) you are immediately charged. "The Watergate is the most luxurious hotel I have stayed in to date, and it definitely reflects that. I think while the exterior is showing its age with the dated architecture, the interior and the staff do all they can and then some to make up for it. The lobby is beautiful, and so are the rooms. I almost forgot the views of the Potomac also did their fair share of helping with the exterior too. Overall, one of the best experiences I have ever had in a hotel."
