"Great host, very helpful. We stayed for 1 night during May. The cabin was very spacious and had some lovely touches, upstairs screen to stream from, free tea and coffee. The cabin is a detached building separate from the main building that has the shared bathroom in. The cabin also has no sink or toilet you have to also go into the main building which is not really clear in the description. Also be aware when booking that access to the property is via a sunken bridge (no sides or barriers) over...

"This hotel offered a great breakfast (choice of Japanese or Western food) which was included in the price but only costs 200 yen if you had to pay for it. Seating for breakfast is on the floor, Japanese style, and this whole hotel is a place where you need to take your shoes off as you enter. I had to take a smoking room but there was nothing smoky about it. Current cleanliness was fine, but the carpets throughout the hotel sure could use replacement. "Very spacious, lovely modern decor, so you get both a lovely 5 star stay but being able to enjoy the old town once you step out. Staff are friendly, able to tell you what are open for the night on a map (as it was a public holiday when we went). The breakfast is also worth it (just 1000yen pp?), not the type with luxurious ingredients but it was all nicely laid out and a very comfy cafe which you can easily spend half a morning there."
