"Lovely hotel with great staff and very comfortable rooms. Really close to walk to the shopping street and castle. Coffee available in the lobby. We found Parking building easily available nearby, cost only 1200 yen for 24 hours. "

"The hotel was an easy walk from the train station & had welcoming staff to assist with your check-in. Room was comfortable with nice bedding. My only compliant would be the hard pillows. The Onsen was the highlight of the property. Beautiful surroundings, clean & had both indoor & outdoor spaces. Highly recommend ! "

"Stayed in a non- smoking room. It seems the room may have previously allowed smoking as there was a residual smell. Extremely friendly staff and great breakfast. Right next to the station."

"Good, compact business hotel especially for the price. Older property but well maintained and room has all the amenities you’ll need (tea, kettle, mini-fridge, slippers, toothbrush + paste, comb, q-tips, etc.). Check in lady was great & explained everything. Hotel also provides printouts explaining things in english."

"Excellent hotel on a budget. Room is clean and size is just nice for Japan standard. Check in and check out were very fast with machine. Breakfast was mainly Japanese food. Toiletries and tea powder were placed in the lobby for self service. Good Japanese system but must get used to it. Overall, it is an excellent hotel. "

"Clean, quiet, and convenient location. Most importantly, the quality of bed is amazing. I always suffer from bad jet lag for at least first few days after arriving from east coast (US), this is a first night I was able to sleep straight for 7 hours! The room was more spacious than one in Tokyo where I spent before coming to Matsumoto. Free delicious Japanese style breakfast which I am very happy with. Certainly it worths the price. The only problem I had was the room was not available until 4 pm. I had to change my clothes in the rest room and missed one hour nap. Nevertheless, I liked this place and will be back again when I am visiting Matsumoto next time."
