"Really enjoyed my stay at Sunroute— 2nd time; was here last year also. Staff are all super friendly and helpful. Even though their English isn’t great, we could easily communicate through Google Translate and they are always looking to help. Love the hot spring that is free for guests!"

"This is located high on Bizan Mountain with great views of the city. Our room was spacious with excellent views. The Onsen is particularly relaxing - it is well laid out and the outdoor section allows you to leisurely soak while admiring the view. There are some nice places for walks around the property. The free shuttle to Tokushima station is appreciated. The dinner/breakfast are buffet-style and more than adequate for the price range. Definitely recommended if you have an extra day or two in the area."

"This hotel is dated and has definitely seen better days. I had a non-smoking room that reeked of smoke :(. However, it was low cost and everything worked. The guy in reception was welcoming and friendly- made a particular effort to explain things, show me the free drinks in reception and hand me a tourist map. Location is walkable from centre (flat walk), but slightly further than ideal. Many dining options easily reached, but don’t expect much English spoken (have a translation app handy)."
