"We stayed here for the second time..our first stay was last year in december and we had a room at the back of the property facing the mountains and less street noise, this time it was very noisy at the front. The rest was great..buffet breakfast is plentiful and the staff is very friendly.."

"The staff is absolutely exceptional. Very kind, polite, helpful and the nicest people. The location is pretty good too - about a 15-20min walk to old Funchal. The walk back could be longer due to the uphill but nothing too crazy. Parking can be tricky but I never had an issue parking at the lot that was designated for the buildings but not for the hotel. The hotel could really use an upgrade on their rooms however. Possibly a fan as it can get quite hot. The walls are very thin and you can hear...
