"This hotel could be good but disappointed in several ways, some of which could be improved. The location was good, handy to nearby major roads. Parking was very good. Check-in via the handy external kiosk demanded immediate full payment even though the room had been prepaid (this extra payment was manually refunded after the very helpful manager arrived at 5pm to staff reception). "This place is a no frills budget hotel and I knew that when I booked it so I can’t really complain. But a few little things could have been done better. When we arrived there was no one to check us in. The machine didn’t recognise our reservation… we were in a bit of a panic and nearly had to call Expedia… however thankfully a lady arrived and gave us our key card! The pillows were so cheap as were the amenities in the room. But like I say… I wasn’t expecting anything else and I hadn’t paid for...

"Super clean. Super quiet. Safe and very confortable. Delicous organic breakfast with local products. The owner is very welcoming and will tell you everything you need to know about the products he serves for breakfast and about the region. 10 minutes away from Macon Downtown. 10 minutes away from the Maconnais grand cru. Very affordable!!!!!!!!!"

"The receptionist was very rude, the room was clean but in poor condition, and the walls were so thin you could hear the conversation next door perfectly. The hotel is slightly outside of the city center but still within walkable distance. For the price we paid would have expected something much better - would not recommend."

"The room smelt as soon as we entered, couldn’t distinguish if it was body odour or smoke. It was suffocating. Soon realised it was smoke, all the linen stank of it, especially the blankets and towels. It was impregnated into everything. This along with the lumpy pillows and mattress that caved in made for very little sleep. I never usually wrote reviews, especially but ones but the smoke was so bad if affected my breathing and I didn’t get much sleep at all. Not great for the kids either. All in...

"We were only at Hotel Saint Jean one night but it was lovely. Although there were some improvements underway it was clean and nothing was in our way. The person who checked us in was very nice and helpful. The hotel was well located. The accommodations were clean and comfortable. We were able to get a 3 person room which is hard to find. Breakfast included some meats and cheeses, more than the common croissant and coffee. "

"Hotel is in a rest area. Looks very bad from the outside. Hotel charges €5 to park, so we parked in the rest area. Very outfated, but clean."

"The room was clean, furniture old but ok, it was very dark because the blinds were closed and had to stay closed because the room was directly on the street so people could look inside the room The people were very friendly also for the dog!"
