"Very helpful and friendly staff. The outside seating areas smelled of cigarettes and the room smelled of dryer sheets or something. They had a very nice laundry machine and commercial dryer, but it was outside and didn't have a combination lock. A little bit of a walk to the train station but not bad and lots happening in terms of interesting shops along the walk. Lots of nice restaurants and shops near the place too. "It is a perfect stay if you are budget minded. There is a lawson and matsuya next to the hostel as well as the hostel being a cafe itself. If you want to go to shimokitazawa or shinjuku you can take yoyogi hachiman which is close by. The beds are comfortable, have two power outlets, and storage for 2 medium sized luggage. The staff clean and mop the floor everyday around 12pm"

"Overall, not a bad experience. A good deal for how affordable it was. It’s dated, but clean. There is a smoky smell, as others have mentioned, but not terrible, unless you’re particularly sensitive. I had to leave early due to a storm, so didn’t actually sleep here, but accommodations looked fine. Pretty spacious for a typical capsule style. It was definitely warm, though. "
