"It was easy to find and check in. The service was great, staff helpful and friendly. The room was very small and the bathroom even smaller, so wouldn’t stay more than one night. But it did the job! "

"Room I stayed had beautiful view of ski resort, but it was very quiet, also how they arranged the bathroom and toilet and wash basins was very nice to shared by two persons and with privacy. Also hotel offered very nice public bath, which I would like to recommand very highly. However, choice of food could of been wider, but all and all this place was alot better located and offed better food than other hotels I stayed at Karuizawa before."

"I really enjoyed staying here. Great location close to JR station and short walk to the castle. The rooms were clean, spacious and as an extra, they offered free ramen or desert for all guests."

"We stayed in the older section and it is due for renovation. The toilet flush was the loudest I have ever heard. The masks on the walls show the need for paint. The dinner was good the breakfast buffet had a wide selection but none of it was outstanding."

"Great location. Older style hotel and our initial room was very poor and we were moved to an excellent room because the air conditioning didn’t work in the first one. The second room had excellent beds, aircon and space. The staff service was impeccable, particularly Miss Watanabe as she helped us with many things like booking restaurants and finding a good Onsen. The breakfast staff were also wonderful as were the cleaning staff and others at reception. The hotel is old but obviously some rooms...
