“Beautiful setting, well designed space and smoothly organised by the hosts. We got a verbal slap on the wrist for unknowingly checking in an hour and a half early. (Its self check in) which felt completely unnecessary and left a sour taste. That being said the hosts do a great job, Brittany may have just been having a bad day. Would still highly recommend ”

“The only blemish was a heavy disinfectant smell--almost nauseating. First day we left all windows open to get some relief--not all. Second day was better but still lingering. Otherwise, it was a wonderful place--just the perfect choice. Just air it out for the next guests”

“The 4 pm check in and 10 am check out is brutal. And the cleaning person was outside waiting for us to leave by 9:40 am when I loaded our car with our bags. That made us feel super rushed to leave. ”

“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The hosts were very communicative, checking in on us throughout our stay and being responsive to our needs and suggestions. Loved the view and the private beach! ”

“This cottage is sweet, and the owners vibe is caring and casual. There is a loft that is not available and the cleanliness is hit or miss, but it was fully stocked and comfortable. The common areas are wonderful just like the photos show. Appliances are aged but everything worked. Though it’s right off the highway it is quiet and sleeping was great; the queen is very comfortable. The view of the ocean is truly amazing and the general location is outstanding for proximity to beaches and the sea……

“Kathy and I cannot say enough. Not only a beautiful location in the hills above Cloverdale but the cottage was just gorgeous! the hosts thought out EVERYTHING. Everything you would have at YOUR house but MORE! Band-Aids, Q-tips, ALL bathroom necessities. Kruger Coffee machine, Washer dryer, BIG screen TV, DVD's, ALL Kitchen necessities, Just think of something you would not think of ..... It was there!!! Richard & Kathy”

“We planned to stay 10 days, there wasn’t a table to sit at or chairs if you wanted to eat meals. We appreciate some kind of household instruction for watching t.v., using the air conditioning unit or operating the locks when exiting. This would be a good place to stay if you didn’t plan on any time in the unit. Also a good wind came up and the shredded patio umbrella collapsed. We left early.”

The cottage sits in an idyllic setting, and the cottage did not lack for anything. The owners clearly had put a great deal of thought into everything a guest would need (even our four-legged guests). “I spent a month at Paul and Vivi"s cottage this summer and really enjoyed it. I was looking for something quiet and peaceful and it was exactly that, with a spectacular view. The cottage contained everything I needed for my 30-day stay, was comfortable and private. I loved just taking in the scenery around the cottage, including their beautiful vineyards. Paul and Vivi were wonderful hosts. I highly recommend it.”
